How to set expiration on an eBook

Our service provides flexible options for library implementations through expiring transactions. This feature allows you to set a downloaded eBook to automatically expire after a given period, making it unusable and effectively 'returned'. In addition, you can set a limit on the number of copies of an eBook that can be accessed at any given time.

There are two easy ways to set an expiration date for your eBooks:

  • The transaction endpoint of our API handles the expiration of the eBook after it has been downloaded by the user, allowing you to specify a certain period of time before it becomes inaccessible.
  • Alternatively, you can set the expiration date through the "Default DRM Settings" section on your account dashboard when adding or editing an eBook.

By setting expiration dates for your eBooks, you can easily manage the lending and borrowing of digital content in a secure and efficient way.
